Magnolia Students Participate in STEM Activity

On Saturday September 28th, approximately 140 students from the Magnolia School District attended a free STEM event held at the Muzeo in Anaheim. The event was put on by Andrew Needles, the CEO of Clarkson Technologies. Younger students had fun learning about polarity in batteries as they raced toy cars using magnets to propel them.

Project HERO Receives Magnificent Donation

Thanks to a fantastic partnership between the Magnolia School District, Love Anaheim, the Magnolia Baptist Church and the Anaheim Rotary Club, 100 hygiene kits were assembled and donated to Project HERO.

Anaheim Rotary Donates Backpacks Filled with School Supplies

Thanks to the generosity of the Anaheim Rotary Club, 308 Magnolia students will receive brand new backpacks filled with plenty of school supplies. Rotary members and Magnolia staff members delivered the backpacks to the District on Thursday, August 28th and several students and families were present to receive their backpacks. The remaining backpacks will be delivered to students across the District.

Six Magnolia School District Schools Were Named 2018-19 California Honor Roll

Magnolia School District is proud to announce that Dr. Albert Schweitzer, Dr. Peter Marshall, Dr. Jonas Salk, Juliette Low School of the Arts, Robert M. Pyles STEM Academy and Walt Disney schools were named as 2018-19 California Honor Roll schools by Educational Results Partnership, a data science organization which recognizes high-performing, achievement gap-closing schools across the state.

Dr. Albert Schweitzer School Hosts Spring Carnival

Schweitzer's Spring Carnival was a huge success! Families and friends came to enjoy the music, performances, food, and games. Schweitzer's PTA put on the carnival with support from teachers, parents, and volunteer students from Dale Junior High and Magnolia High School.

Parents Participate in Science Workshops

Dr. Albert Schweitzer School held a Science Experience Parent Workshop led by Mr. Esau Perez, School Readiness Community Liaison. The focus of the workshop was learning science through fun interactive activities so parents can assist the students at home. Due to the high parent turnout please be on the lookout for more workshops in the upcoming school year!

Family Math Workshops Brings Parents and Students Together

Dr. Albert Schweitzer parents participated in Math workshops where they visited the classrooms to play math games or work on mathematical problems with their children. The workshops were led by the Instructional Practices Coach, Parent Involvement Liaison and School Principal. The parents were able to see different ways students express their mathematical knowledge -- it was a great time of learning and fun!

Dr. Albert Schweitzer Six Graders Raise Money for Anaheim Police Dogs

The 6th graders at Dr. Albert Schweitzer School have successfully raised $2800 as part of their community service project to purchase K9 bulletproof vests for the Anaheim Police Department Dogs. On Friday, April 5th, the Chief of the Anaheim Police Department and several officers came to Dr. Albert Schweitzer School to accept the vests for their K9 dogs.

25th Annual Dental Clinic and Community Health Fair

Saturday, February 23, 2019 marked the 25th anniversary of the Magnolia School District Dental Clinic and Community Health Fair. Dr. Jonas Salk Elementary School MPR was transformed into a Dentist’s office and the courtyard was turned into a community health fair. Students and their families from all across the district were invited to attend.
