During the annual ACSA Region 17 awards recognition event, Superintendent Dr. Frank Donavan received the prestigious Dr. Janice Billings Award, an honor that recognizes exceptional leadership in the area of student advocacy, especially in advocating for students who face exceptional circumstances and obstacles. Under Dr. Donavan’s leadership, Magnolia School District has continued to foster innovation, student achievement, and strong community connections while maintaining a steadfast commitment to ensuring all students are inspired to extraordinary achievement every day.
Also recognized was Dr. Veronica Lizardi, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, who received the Administrator of the Year Award for Curriculum and Instruction. This recognition highlights her exceptional leadership in advancing instructional practices, professional learning, student support systems, and districtwide initiatives focused on engagement, belonging, and academic success.
The evening celebrated educational leaders from across Orange County whose work continues to make a lasting impact on students and school communities. Magnolia School District is honored to have two leaders recognized among this distinguished group of administrators.
